4th University of Strathclyde SNAME Symposium
We are pleased to inform you, that the UoS SNAME student section is organizing a Symposium that will be held on Friday the 7th of February, at Graham Hills GH.648. The event will be a great opportunity for networking and expanding you knowledge. Note that the Symposium is free for SNAME members as well as Guests and there is no need to register for this event.
Furthermore, a visit to the Falkirk Wheel has been organized for Saturday the 8th of February. There will be a bus leaving from Henry Dyer building on the day of the trip. If you would like to join us on the networking event on Saturday, it is vital to register using the following link:
Apart from the registration, a deposit of £10 is required to confirm your place in the bus, which will be given back to you at the day of the event.
Please have in mind that there are limited spaces available for the visit to the Falkirk Wheel and the selection will be based clearly on First come, First serve basis.

10th Annual Western Europe Section Symposium
On the 10th of October 2019, the SNAME Western Europe Section is organizing its annual UK Symposium sponsored by ABS and located in HQS WELLINGTON
What is it?
This is an excellent opportunity for a three day weekend (10th-13th of October) and a two day SNAME field trip that starts with the Symposium on the 11th of October and is followed by a networking event on the Thames Barrier on the 12th.
The Symposium includes a variety of technical seminars and an excellent opportunity for making contacts and networking with actual professionals working in their respective naval architecture and marine engineering-related fields. How to Join:
The Strathclyde’s SNAME Student Section will, of course, be sending all the committee members as well as some students to attend. In case of overbooking, priority will be given to SNAME student members, however, everyone is welcome to apply!
1. Admission to the Symposium and Thames Barrier are Free
2. All students are eligible to attend 1st to 4th Year, to Masters and PhD.
3. There are limited places available.
