SNAME Leadership Summit 2024

On Thursday, June 27th, more than 40 SNAME leaders gathered together in Alexandria, VA to participate in the SNAME Leadership Summit. The SLS is an opportunity for new and experienced SNAME leaders to get together and strengthen leadership skills, while learning about their roles and responsibilities in the organization. For the first time since 2018, SLS was hosted in-person and it featured representatives from 17 of the 20 SNAME sections. Training sessions discussed a wide variety of topics, including financial reporting, the SNAME strategic plan, and how to become a more effective leader in a team. Following the training on Thursday, HQ hosted a wine and cheese event, and following Friday’s sessions, a tall ship tour was organized. In the end, it was a great event to kick off the new fiscal year, and a great way to help next year’s SNAME leaders hit the ground running.
