Texas Section Annual Shrimp Boil

The Shrimp Boil was held Sunday September 10, 2006 at the Walden Yacht Club on Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. This time honored event is held once a year, and brings together SNAME members with their families and friends. This year's Shrimp Boil took place in the Promenade room, which is located on the ground floor of the yacht club with a beautiful view of Lake Conroe. The event was well attended by about 80 people including SNAME members and SNAME student members, and their guests. The food was excellent and the weather was just perfect. The club was also quite nice with a swimming pool and gazebo. Prizes were given to the children (and a few lucky adults).

The inductees, who exemplify the best in both the design and international promotion of racing for the Cup, will be honored on the occasion of the America’s Cup Hall of Fame 15th Annual Induction Ceremony to be held Sunday, June 24, 2007 in Valencia, Spain.
