Technical and Research Committees

  • T & R Manual

By means of the T&R Program, the Society encourages and sponsors maritime research into into areas of the ocean sciences, with particular emphasis on marine vehicles and offshore structures. The work encompasses structures, hydrodynamics, machinery , production, operation and systems development. The Society is also involved in an ongoing National Shipbuilding Research Program developed by the Ship Production Committee , which has been funded by the U.S. Navy through individual shipyard contracts.

The T&R Program Newsletter is a periodic publication containing updates of the Society's Technical and Research Program. It includes status reports, action plans, organizational changes, and excerpts for T&R Steering Committee minutes intended to keep the membership informed.
