Hi all,

Dave Helgerson (Chesapeake Chair) is looking for a few volunteers to help out with the upcoming Teaching with Small Boats Conference March 12-14:
http://www.alexandriaseaport.org/TeachinigwithSmallBoatsConference.htm

The Conference will bring together about 70 to 100 people from organizations like Alexandria Seaport Foundation (

Volunteer "scribes" are needed who can act as assistant moderators for discussion sessions. They would take notes and help clean up PowerPoint presentations to reflect the consensus of the discussion groups. There are also other roles that need to be filled.

Please contact Dave (dhelgers@csc.com) if you are interested.

Our next happy hour is going to be joint with the King's Point alum on Thursday, 21 January @ Clyde's in Gallery Place Chinatown, Washington DC at 6PM. Keep in mind this venue will be crowded given the Caps vs.

Penguins Ice Hockey game at 7:30PM.

About the group:

Regular attendees include an interesting mix of people with common interests rooted in maritime, business, defense, engineering, international trade, project management, transportation and much more. We're continuously growing this group and welcome your ideas for improving these get togethers.

About Clyde's:

Clyde's of Gallery Place opened in 2005 in the heart of Washington's Chinatown and the revitalized areas of Penn Quarter. It quickly became a favorite for Shakespeare and Ford's theatergoers, Verizon Center players and fans, residents and tourists alike. And there is a menu for every palate and show time.

Clyde's of Chinatown
707 7th Street Northwest
Washington, DC 20001

Please let me know if you will attend so we'll have an idea of how big the group will be. Looking forward to seeing you there! -Jane
