YP Mission Statement
The Young Professionals is a new SNAME initiative to help transition student members to associate members. YP is designed to work both at the local section level and the national level. At the local level, YP events are traditionally social events where young members are able to come together and network in a comfortable and informal setting. These socials are intended to be in addition to the monthly section technical meetings. The YP events are not meant to replace the local section meetings.
