Join the SNAME Texas Section Young Professionals Group Thursday, April 19, 2012 at our Model Sailboat Event!
 
Who: Any Young Professionals and their Senior Coworkers!
 
When: April 19, 2012, 5:30pm to 7:30pm
 
Where: George Bush Park (Off of Highway 6, south of I-10)

Directions: Turn off Highway 6 onto Westheimer going west.  At first light turn right onto Westheimer Parkway and bear to the left up and over the dam.  You will see the sailing pond immediately  your left (port-side).  The parking is at the far end of the pond. Please note the area is policed so watch out for speed and park in designated spots.

Please Note: There will not be any bathroom facilities on site

What: A networking social where SNAME members will give us a demonstration on Model Sailboat racing, along with letting us try out their boats! If you have a model sailboat, feel free to bring it, if not, please come and try it out!

What: SNAME YP is organizing a discussion forum about Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Model Testing, with experts from both fields. The event is a great platform to discuss the possibilities, advantages and disadvantages of both methods. How they can be used to develop good practical solutions for the industry and what the future will look like.This is also a good opportunity to socialize with your colleagues and fellow SNAME Members. Where: The Washington Avenue Drinkery (4115 Washington Avenue, Houston TX 77007)

What: A networking social along with a Trivia Night! The Washington Avenue Drinkery will be providing a $50 Bar Tab to the winning Trivia Team! This will be a fun event to get to know your colleagues and fellow SNAME Members. Teams will be chosen right before the competition begins.
