To honour the visit of Mr Peter Noble to Helsinki all the local SNAME members are kindly invited to the 2nd SNAME Suomi Collegium gathering to be arranged next Wednesday November 24th at 18:00 hours at NAPA Ltd at the HT Center, Tammasaarenkatu 3, FI-00180 Helsinki, Finland.
There will be a number of selected brief presentations on some state-of-the-art Finnish technologies, including
- New NAPA applications for Offshore Structures, by NAPA
- The latest EMSA Oil Spill Combat response solution IB Kontio, by Arctia Shipping
- The Oblique Oil Combat Icebreaker ARC 100 development and potential applications, by Aker Arctic (Mika Hovilainen)
- LNG fuelled propulsion solution on a RoPax Ferry, by STX Finland (to be confirmed)
It would be appreciated if you would be able to bring along in large quantity your friends potentially willing to join for SNAME membership.
The current Finnish members can be seen in the distribution of this mail.
I regret this late invitation, but we had hoped to have an opportunity to gather in the new Aalto University surroundings, but only today we heard from Petri Varsta that he was not able to facilitate the gathering. Happily Napa Ltd took the challenge.
