On the 15th of April yet a SNAME meeting was held in Stavanger, Norway, hosted by Tide (owner and operator of ferries and fast boats).
SNAME member Håkon Robberstad (principal engineer in Tide) organised the meeting and presented the marine activities in Tide to the 12 members and guests.
Rolf Herheim, technialcal director of DSD shipping, presented the company and their current newbuilding program of crude oil and product tankers.
Toralf Ekrheim, managing director of NorLines, presented the fleet, newbiulding plans and some aspects of logistics related to the line trade in the North and Baltic seas.
The evening was rounded off with a discussion about the upcoming SNAME event to be held on the 23rd of August in Stavanger.
