Courtney joined SNAME as a student in 2001. After graduating from Webb Institute in 2005, she worked for Elliott Bay Design Group.  Joining Glosten in 2008, Courtney participates in a broad spectrum of the firm’s naval architecture work.  She specializes in vessel stability, structural design, ballast plans, and specification writing.  Currently, Courtney spends most of her time providing naval architecture support to URS on the Olmsted Dam project.

Eleanor joined SNAME as a student in 2004 when she was a senior at Tufts University.  Upon completion of her PhD in 2008, she joined Glosten’s Ocean Engineering & Analysis group.  Eleanor’s project work includes: hydroelasticity analysis and anchoring of the WA SR520 floating bridge, emesis probability for an Aleutian Islands ferry concept, oil spill risk assessment studies, and environmental performance metrics.

Sometimes, even despite wearing nametags, they are commonly mistaken as the other person.  When they are not sending out PNW eGroup eBlasts, Courtney spends her time outside of work hiking, reading, playing tennis, and working with her church youth group; and Eleanor enjoys hiking with her dog, rowing on Green Lake, road tripping to festivals, and hanging out with Courtney.
