You are invited to apply for membership in SNAME. SNAME is dedicated to advancing the arts, sciences and practice of naval architecture, shipbuilding and marine engineering. Join today and experience all the benefits of membership in the Society.
Renew your Membership
Your SNAME membership must be renewed annually on January 1st. Remain a member in good standing and enjoy the access to technical information, networking, continuing education, resources, and discounts SNAME offers.
Upgrade your Membership
Apply to become a full SNAME Member or Affiliate Member. New references are required for a change of grade. All requests for change of membership grade are reviewed by the Applications Committee. If approved, you will receive a new membership card and membership certificate showing your new grade. Learn more about the SNAME Membership Upgrade Campaign.
Reinstate your Membership
There are three ways by which a Member who has resigned or whose membership has ceased for nonpayment of dues may be reinstated: 1. By paying back dues from the year of severance; 2. By paying current year dues and a one-time fee; 3. By making a new application for membership with reinstatement to take effect as of the year of re-approval.

All applications for new members are reviewed by the Applications Committee, which meets on a monthly basis. You will be notified shortly after review. If accepted, you will receive a package of pertinent information including a membership card, membership certificate and other member benefit information.
