Welcome to the 3rd Annual Apprentice School Chapter of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers 2010 Boat Design Competition!

This competition exposes students to the excitement of the shipbuilding industry.  Students will be challenged in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics by working through the entire shipbuilding design spiral.  Students will learn skills like team work, leadership, project planning, engineering, design, drawing development, and design validation methods.  All you have to do is form a team, register and follow the competition schedule.

This competition website will be your resource for all competition details.  The Apprentice School chapter of SNAME will provide the tools and resources necessary to develop your own boat design.  The information on the website will be updated frequently so make sure to visit often for any new information.  The competition menus located above and on the left contain links to information and resources you will be using throughout the competition.
