Welcome to the Arctic Section of SNAME!

Upcoming Luncheon:
Next Luncheon will be on September 8th 2010 at the Westin Hotel.

Presentation / Topic:

"Briefing and Discussion on the Upcoming ICETECH 2010 Conference (Sep 20 – 23, 2010)"

This luncheon will be a great opportunity to kick off yet another SNAME Arctic luncheon season and to catch up after a summer break over a nice meal.

Frank Bercha, the Chairman of Icetech 2010 will talk about the overall organization of the upcoming conference, themes and papers that will be presented, and the program.


ICETECH 2010 is a non profit conference organized by the Arctic Section of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) together this time with Alaska’s Institute of the North. It is the premiere international conference on ships and structures in ice. The conference will take place in Anchorage on September 20, and
will conclude in the late afternoon on September 23, 2010.


Please join us on September 8th, 2010 at the Westin Hotel.
