Undergraduate Scholarship SNAME

 

In memory of the founders of M. Rosenblatt & Son, Inc.,  premiere naval architecture firm.

SNAME members with passion for naval architecture, marine or ocean engineering, and displaying evidence of professionalism and involvement in SNAME.

 

Up to $6,000

 

SNAME Robert N. Herbert 
Undergraduate Scholarship

In memory of naval engineer Robert N. Herbert.

SNAME members with passion for naval architecture, marine or ocean engineering, and displaying evidence of professionalism and involvement in SNAME. 

Up to $5,000

 

NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship

Offered by National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)

Apply sophomore year, US citizens, majors related to marine science, engineering, and meteorology.

$16,000, plus paid internship between junior and senior year ($6500)

 

Naval Research Enterprise Intern Program (NREIP)

Ten-week internship program for undergrads and graduate students at participating Navy laboratory. 

Sophomores through graduate students

Internship (sophomores receive $5,250 juniors and seniors receive $7,880)

 

Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transportation (SMART) 

Scholarship for service: For each year the scholarship is awarded to a student, the student must work for the Department of Defense (DoD) for 12 months. 

BSc., MSc., PhD., US citizen at time of application

 

Full tuition and education related fees, cash award, paid summer internships, health insurance reimbursements, book allowance, mentoring, and placement after graduation.

 

The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE)

 

Scholarship from American Society of Naval Engineers

SNAME or ASNE members.

Marine Technology Society Scholarships (MTS)

The Marine Technology Society offers many fantastic scholarships to undergrads (and grads).

MTS members, students in marine science/engineering/technology, as well as graduating high school seniors.

 

Up to $8,000

Robert Bruce Wallace Academic Prize

 

Awarded by ocean engineering faculty for academic excellence and outstanding potential for professional leadership in ocean engineering. 

MIT ocean engineering undergraduates. Candidates are nominated and notified by the Ocean Engineering Department.

 

Full tuition and stipend for one year










IEEE/ Ocean Engineering Society (OES) Scholarship

Offered by IEEE and the Ocean Engineering Society  Must have been a member of the IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society at least six months prior to the beginning of the requested scholarship year.
