Davede fell in love with the maritime world volunteering and singing sea shanties for the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park and is currently pursuing a Mechanical Engineering major with the Marine Science and Power Generation minors. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pure Mathematics from UC Berkeley and spent a year teaching elementary school math, physics, and chemistry, where he discovered how much he enjoys sharing his love of math, science, and their maritime applications with secondary school students. His dream is to work for an Oceanographic Institution, domestically, or in a Spanish or Portuguese speaking country, doing the engineering support necessary for further advances in oceanology. |
