Please remember the June 6th Special Luncheon takes place at the Westin Hotel, and is on a Thursday (not the regular Wednesday!).
ICETECH 2014
ICETECH 2014 will be held at the Banff Centre, July 28-31, 2014. Emphasis will be on looking towards the future in a warming world. Visit the ICETECH website for more information.

Commander Douglas Campbell, CO of frigate HMCS St John's will speak to us on naval operations in the North. Commander Campbell's ship participated in OP NANOOK 2012, sailing from Halifax to Greenland, Baffin Island, and Hudson's Bay, including a port visit to Churchill, Manitoba. More information.
Time: Check-In: 11:30-12:00.
Luncheon and Presentation: 12:00-1:00
Registration: Please pre-register for this event via email.
Cost: $25 SNAME members and retired professionals, $40 for non-members, $15 for students. Please bring cash or cheque payable to SNAME Arctic Section on the day.
Location: The Lake Louise Room at The Westin Hotel, 320 4th Avenue SW, Calgary.
 Alex Brovkin thanks Geir Utskot for his excellent presentation, "Arctic Petroleum Development and Production" on April 17.
 Frank Bercha of the Bercha Group presented an overview of the Gateway Project on March 20.
 Dennis Barrington of Wet Works Marine presented Saturation Diving in Cold Waters at our Feburary 20 luncheon meeting.
 Shannon Vossepoel of the Arctic Institute of North America started our 2013 luncheon meetings on January 16, presenting The Arctic Science and Technology Information System (ASTIS): Arctic Information at Your Fingertips.
 The December 19th "Christmas Luncheon" was well attended, and featured Dan Masterson presenting: Load Transmissions to Foundations of GBS - Dynamic Loading.
 Our first luncheon of the fall semester was held November 21, featuring Arno Keinonen's presentation: Modern Day Pioneering and its Safety in the Floating Ice Offshore.
