The work of the Annual Meeting and Symposia Committee is governed by Section D3-5 of the SNAME Bylaws.
D3‑5. Planning and Policy Committees
(a) Annual Meetings and Symposia Committee This Committee is responsible for developing and executing a strategy for the Annual Meetings and Symposia that will both disseminate technology developments and provide networking and communication forums. This Committee will direct planning and be given authority to pro-actively develop the content and format for the Annual Meeting and for three to five symposia per year with focused technical content.
For the Annual Meeting, the Committee shall be responsible for all aspects including, but not limited to, budgets and fees, site selection, dates and time- frame, program schedule, and marketing. The Committee shall review all aspects of the previous year’s Annual Meeting to enhance the following year’s meeting and to provide direction and recommendations for all future meetings.
