SNAME Annual Meeting and EXPO:
Developing New Market
Opportunities

While uncertainty in future government agency budgets is affecting the U.S. naval ship design and building industry, it is important to recognize that the broader maritime industry is dynamic and robust.  Interact with that worldwide community of maritime industry professionals and pursue opportunities to expand into new markets at the SNAME Annual Meeting!

SNAME is the “big tent” professional society for naval, marine, and ocean engineers, and naval architects from all sectors of the worldwide maritime profession and industry.  The Annual Meeting’s wide range of topical technical papers and panels enables participants to learn what professionals worldwide are doing and to develop contacts that will lead to business opportunities beyond existing markets.

Many sectors of the maritime industry are healthy and thriving, such as offshore wind energy development, oil & gas exploration, development, and production, and global commercial and naval ship design and construction - including the $33 billion shipbuilding program for the Canadian Navy and Coast Guard to replace and modernize naval ships, icebreakers, and science vessels over the next two decades.

Come learn about these opportunities in global shipbuilding, polar operations, offshore wind, patrol craft, and more!  For information and to register go to www.sname.org/2012AnnualMeeting/Register or contact Alana Anderson at alana@sname.org/ (201) 499-5066.
