Meeting to be held at

ABS Europe, Ltd., 1 Frying Pan Alley, London, E1 7HR

at 17:30 for 18:15 hours (duration approximately 1 hour)

The use of hydrogen as an alternative to fossil fuels in the transport sector has been on an uptrend in these last years due to its environmental advantages. Such growth shows signs of increasing its pace, as automotive giants are starting to manufacture fuel cell vehicles in mass production. However, only emissions-free hydrogen will mitigate the carbon footprint of the transport sector, otherwise, emissions from vehicle exhausts will only be transferred to hydrogen production sites. In that context, it is key that the produced hydrogen uses renewable energies as primary source. One solution is linking renewables to water electrolysers, nevertheless, it is very important that the water source is either unlimited at human scale or naturally replenished, so that the long-term of such exploitations is sustainable. In this regard, seawater plays a crucial part as not only it is an unlimited source at human scale, but also its repletion is guaranteed thanks to the water cycle.”
