Social Hour at 5:30pm, Dinner at 6:30pm, Presentation at 7:30pm
6005 Jefferson Hwy
Harahan, LA 70123
Presented as an open discussion forum, Mr. Verret shares the development of Harvey Gulf International Marine, and taps into broader areas of the role of LNG, not only as a frontier energy source, but also as an infrastructure comprising production, processing, storage, transport and offloading technologies. HGIM became the first U.S. vessel operator to utilize LNG as a marine fuel and built the first LNG marine fueling facility in the United States located in Port Fourchon, Louisiana, as well as designer and owner of a FIRST-OF-ITS-KIND ATB LNG BARGE.
Chad Verret joined Harvey Gulf in October 2008 where his duties include project management, project planning/review and customer interface for both domestic and international markets. Mr. Verret, a native of Louisiana, is the fourth generation of his family to be involved in the marine business, which offers him unique perspectives on the offshore marine industry. His combination of shipboard and shore side experience offers exceptional viewpoints in the dynamic and evolving offshore vessel market. Chad also currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Society of Gas as a Marine Fuel (SGMF). This membership-based association, developing and employing best practice, is comprised of 150 members from the marine gas fuel sector. The highly diverse group is focused on marine activities relating to supply of and the use of gas as a marine fuel. He is also an advisor on several committees to the United States Coast Guard, including the Chemical Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC), National Offshore Safety Advisory Committee (NOSAC), the Merchant Marine Personnel Advisory Committee (MERPAC) and the Towing Safety Advisory Committee (TSAC). He was elected as a member of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in 2013.
