PRESENTATIONS

  • Ed Schwarz, VP New Build Sales, ABB Marine & Ports Joshua Sebastian, P.E., Engineering Manager, The Shearer Group Inc. and Erasto Fernandez, Marine Project Engineer, Marathon Petroleum Company will present on diesel electric propulsion on the inland rivers.  With increased regulations from the EPA and tightening of revenue, diesel electric propulsion offers a valuable option that should be considered as part of the entire engineering design process for a new inland towboat.  Benefits extend beyond just fuel cost savings by also providing for improvement in maintenance schedules and increased operational safety for towboats.
  • Kevin Cote, Marine Technical Sales Manager at Innospec Inc.,will present on Performance Deterioration of Marine Diesel Engines
  • Steve Douglass, CIV, USCG, will discuss implementation of Subchapter M and the different options for compliance.

*Additional presentations will be announced at a later date

Professional Development Hours (PDHs)

Professional Engineers may be eligible to receive Professional Development Hours (PDHs) for attendance during the technical presentations (depending on their state board's requirements). Certificates of attendance will be made available on request.
