The 29th ATTC was held here at the United States Naval Academy on 11-13th August, 2010. The conference was a huge success with 64 attendees, almost double the attendance of the last ATTC. Thirty four technical papers were presented over two days, bringing together experts on tankery from North and South America. The papers were distributed in bound proceedings and presented with short, fifteen minute slide shows plus five minutes of discussion. Authors did a great job at delivering concise snapshots of their work. Morning and afternoon breaks allowed time to speak at length with authors about their projects and to catch up with old friends. The organizing committee is preparing a compilation of the proceedings in pdf format that will include papers in full color plus additional appendices and a list of attendees. The compilation will be put on CD’s will be mailed to attendees before the end of September 2010. As a joint project between the ATTC and SNAME, the complete set of 28 ATTC proceedings will be scanned and archived in pdf format. Copies of the full set will be available through SNAME before 2011. At the conference business meeting, the Naval Surface Weapons Center / Carderock Division was voted to host the 30th ATTC in 2013. We look forward to meeting again at that time and offer our thanks to the authors and attendees of the 29th ATTC who made our conference such a success.
