  • The Mariners’ Museum Hosts Special Lecture on The Apprentice School

In case you missed him presenting to us last fall.  Bill Fox, a SNAME fellow from the Hampton Roads Section is presenting at the Mariner's Museum.  Their description of the event is below.

On Saturday, February 8 at 2:30 p.m., visit The Mariners’ Museum for the Hampton Roads History Lecture, The Apprentice School: Celebrating a Century. The lecture, presented by William A. Fox, P.E., will discuss the impact and influence of The Apprentice School, which has educated and trained more than 10,000 craftsmen and women, middle managers, and company executives over the last 100 years. Fox’s ties to Newport News Shipbuilding run deep. A respected naval architect, professional engineer, researcher, and writer, Fox was honored when the company asked him to write the centennial history of its renowned and nationally recognized Apprentice School. A book signing will follow the presentation. The lecture is free to Museum members and included in $1 Museum admission. Visit marinersmuseum.org/lectures for more information.
