13 January 2015

Dear SNAME Student Section Leaders,

On behalf of the SNAME Student Steering Committee, I would like to congratulate you on your appointment to a leadership position. To be chosen as a student section leader is both a great honor and a significant commitment.

The following document is the 2015 Student Section Standards guide, a document designed to assist you in effectively leading your school’s SNAME student section. The document is updated each year by the Student Steering Committee in order to incorporate new ideas and techniques to help student sections thrive.

The SSS guide contains everything that you will need to know to run and organize a successful

SNAME student section. Along with administrative information and fundraising advice, the guide contains a number of example documents and checklists that you may find helpful in the year to come.

The Student Steering Committee (SSC) encourages all leaders and officers to review the information in this guide before the start of their term and periodically throughout the year. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me (bturner17@webb.edu) at any time.

I wish you all the best in the upcoming year.

Sincerely,

Barr Turner, Jr.

2015 SSS Resource Management Chair
