Atlantic Section November 30, 2005 On November 30, 2005, the Canadian Atlantic Section held a meeting where the local companies made presentation to the Engineering student of Dalhousie University and the Center for Marine Vessel Development and Research. The purpose was to bring awareness of local companies for co-op opportunities, in response to the co-op department at Dalhousie University interest in learning about the local Naval Architect and Marine Engineering companies, and to increase the number of possible companies that the students could do co-op work terms for. The local Naval Architect and Marine Engineering companies realize that co-op programs are highly beneficial to the students but also to the companies that are hiring the students. . The meeting was extremely successful for both students and companies and another event is planned for later on in the school year.
