SNAME Platinum Plus MasterCard of MBNA

One of the many benefits of being a SNAME member is having a unique custom-designed card that proudly displays the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers emblem. Platinum Plus MasterCard of MBNA America makes this offer to SNAME members.

Support the Society that supports your profession and apply for your SNAME Platinum Plus MasterCard today. MBNA makes a contribution for every new account that is opened and when each account is renewed. An additional contribution is made to SNAME every time the card is used to make a purchase.

As Jerry W. Cuthbert a long-time SNAME member announced, "When I learned that an average of 1% of the amount charged to the SNAME card actually goes to SNAME I was thrilled! Since SNAME kept me fed and housed for a year at school, I am glad to be able to give some money back to SNAME."

Book Reviews in Marine Technology

We will resume publication of book reviews in Marine Technology with the forthcoming issue. Along with technical books we also expect to address other books of more general interest to the marine community, including books on historical and professional subjects. Members who would like to volunteer to review books, copies of which will be provided but must be returned, and who can take on the responsibility for submitting the necessary 500-to-800 word finished draft, should contact Alan Rowen at arowen@sname.org indicating their areas of interest and expertise.
