LINK-OF-THE-MONTH

The SNAMeNewsLetter
showcase link for the month of May is the Hampton Roads
Section. The Section's home page has a sleek, stylized look featuring
their most recent meeting (18 April 2002) and an American flag proudly waving
in the breeze! The "Welcome" page has an inspiring message written
by CAPT Claude "Okie" Thompson, USCG (Ret), P. E. Past Section Chairman, 1999-2000.
I learned that the Hampton Roads Section is "..... very fortunate to be
in area which has more shipyards than any other region in the country, has the
greatest population of shipyard workers in the country, has the second largest
container port on the East Coast, and is the home of the largest military fleet
in the world and the largest coal export terminal in the world."
Other Hampton
Roads Section links include: Officers, Events, Images, and Links.
All are well organized and informative. The individual responsible for the Section's
web pages is John Gallahorn, Public Relations Chairperson and Section Web Liaison.
Great job, John !
