Sections Are Now Updated on the SNAME Web Site
I am happy to announce that all of the Sections' "main pages" have been updated on the
SNAME web site. Visit the site and see for yourself ! -
http://www.sname.org/sections.htm
"The Main
Page" - contains the inauguration date of the section, a list of
current officers, a link to the Student Section (if available), and a link to
the section's own "home page". Information on the "main page" is maintained
and updated by SNAME HQ.
"The Home
Page" - contains the section's meeting schedule, reports from past
meetings, and any other information the section members deem appropriate. Information
on the "home page" is maintained and updated by each individual Section Web
Liaison.
NOTE: Section
"home pages" are very important. These are the pages that contain
up-to-the-minute information regarding Section activities. I want to thank all
Section Web Liaisons for their cooperation and continued support. Great job !
If your section does
not yet have a "home page" and/or a Web Liaison, please contact me. I'll be
glad to help!

Member Services Department
E-MAIL ADDRESSES
- Sometimes members do not advise us of changes in their e-mail addresses, and
sometimes we enter a member's address incorrectly. Please take a careful look
at the e-mail address that we are using by checking it on the SNAME web site
or in the Membership Directory. The easiest and fastest way to correct an error
is to update your member record details on the SNAME web site. Another option is to send an
e-mail message to Tommie Anne Faix at tfaix@sname.org,
or phone her at 201-798-4800, X-3036.
"WHATEVER HAPPENED TO
........." Too few members keep us up to date with career changes and other
professional information. In many cases members' files contain nothing more
than the original application information! Therefore, we are asking members
to send us resumes or other outline biographical summaries. We ask only they
be limited to two or three pages at the most. Please mail them to Eileen Romanelli
at SNAME Headquarters, or e-mail them to her at eromanelli@sname.org.
Member Services Department
Staff - " Who to Call for What"
As a guideline
for our members, the following lists whom in the Member Services Dept will assist
you with your SNAME membership inquiry. The email address for each staff member
is his or her initial (no space) last name @sname.org. Or you may call on our
toll-free number at 1-800-798-4975.

Job Posting on Web Site - A Success Story
The following e-mail was received at SNAME HQ on
20 December:
To: 'cpujols@sname.org'
Subject: Appreciation for Assistance
Just a note to express my appreciation to SNAME for the job posting feature
of the web site. This past summer, I responded to a job opening posted by
Design Research Engineering located in Novi, Michigan. Shortly thereafter,
I accepted a position with this company. After about three months with the
firm, I am finding the work very interesting and challenging.
Thanks again to SNAME for the assistance provided to me in finding my new
job!
Sincerely,
David Toepler
