The Chairman of the Section Membership Committee automatically becomes a member of the national Membership Committee with specific responsibility for his/her Section. It is important that the individual selected as Chairman, have knowledge of the current status of the industry in the area served by the Section and of potential candidates for membership. be able and willing to devote time and effort to the membership task. be an enthusiastic SNAME member capable of presenting the Society/Section in a positive manner. be an outgoing, organized individual able to provide creative leadership to the Committee members. be available and able to travel to meetings of the national Committee.
