This page holds news for O-44 and a listing of various links that may be of interest. They are all associated with the workings of this panel.

The United States Coast Guard provides the most U.S. delegates to IMO. For USCG Marine Safety, Security and Environmental Protection information, go to the USCG G-M Home Page, or look at the Marine Safety Newsletters.

The Coast Guard has additional websites for Marine Safety, Security and Environment's National & International Standards and Advisory Committees.

For Coast Guard contact information, view the USCG Marine Safety, Security and Environmental Protection Telephone Listing (which has been recently reorganized to provide faster, streamlined access).

The International Maritime Organization (IMO) is the United Nations' specialized agency responsible for improving maritime safety and preventing pollution from ships.

From the IMO home page, you can access all sorts of information concerning the maritime conventions, summary of recent committee and sub-committee meetings, copies of MSC and MEPC circulars, as well as press releases (just follow the "Quick Links" in the left-hand column of the IMO Home page).

For the convenience of members and others, Panel O-44 maintains a selective listing of those MSC and MEPC circulars that are particularly relevant to O-44 activities at www.sname.org/committees/tech_ops/O44/msccircs.html.

The International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) is now on the web. Links to its member societies are also provided within this site.
