Probabilistic damage stability (2 Days)
Date: Tuesday, May 5 - Wednesday, May 6

GHS training in probabilistic damage calculations using the Advanced Features OM - Optional Module is required.

Learn to use the DAMSTAB2 Wizard to calculate probabilistic damage stability. The course is intended for intermediate / advanced GHS users. Students should familiarize themselves with IMO probabilistic damage stability regulations prior to the class. The class will follow the GHS training guide for probabilistic damage stability which is available for download .

The instructor is Lucas Hurt, a Naval Architect of Creative Systems.

This course focuses developing student's abilities to generate their own sophisticated run files to model and simulate complex vessel operations, including salvage

Congratulations to Dr. Steve Leverette, SNAME’s next Representative to the OTC Board of Directors

Dr. Steven John Leverette, Vice President, Technology at SBM Offshore USA has been named as the next SNAME Representative to the Offshore Technology Conference Board of Directors. Members of the OTC Board are appointed to four-year terms by their respective society or organization. The OTC Board includes 14 representatives, 12 from OTC's sponsoring societies and two from OTC's endorsing organizations. Dr. Leverette will be replacing Ed Stokes, who has served in the role of Chair, OTC Board of Directors for the last two years, and the SNAME representative for the last 8 years. .
