Attendance at the conference reached a 30-year high of 89,400, the third highest in show history and up 14% from last year's total of 78,645.  The sold-out exhibition was also the largest in event history with 2,500 companies representing 46 countries.

The Office of Naval Research and the Chesapeake Section sponsored the 12th International Ship Stability Workshop in Alexandria, Virginia. The 12th ISSW was hosted by the David Taylor Model Basin (NSWCCD).

The format of the workshop entails in-depth discussions in an informal manner, resulting in an ideal environment for participants who are interested in current developments and provides an opportunity to ask questions on topics “you’ve always wanted to know.”
