SNAME Chesapeake Section Informal Meeting - Oct 13th

Please join us at the Annapolis Yacht Basin for a tour, and possibly a demonstration of the Westport ScanEagle Global Response Cutter.

The vessel will be open for pierside tours between 4:30 - 6 pm. If anybody is interested, they are able to offer 20-30 minute underway demonstrations of the performance run and RHIB Ops using the stern ramp. Please email me at sname.cs.meetings@gmail.com if you are interested in the demonstration. The time will be dependent on who signs up so please also include your preference for a 5 pm or 5:30 pm demonstration.

Joint ASNE SNAME SD-8 Workshop - Oct 14th

The American Society of Naval Engineers and Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers are hosting a workshop of the SD-8 Navy Ships Panel. The subject is the application of real options theory to ship design and naval force structure planning. We will have several presentations on this topic and an open discussion. Please see the attached flyer for more information on this workshop.

You are invited to join us for these presentations and discussion on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 0900 to 1200 at The Columbia Group’s office location at: 20 M Street SE, Suite 700 (Floor 7), Washington, DC 20003.
