Announcing the SNAME Technical Program for the SMTC&E and SPS. Widely viewed as the definitive source for technical information in the maritime industry, SNAME once again offers a program of peer-reviewed technical papers of the highest caliber, both timely and rich in content. Presentations on advances in production, design, operation, and innovations in product and system technologies will provide opportunities for professional development and will expand the knowledge base of those attending. In addition, two high-level panel discussions will address challenges to the cruise-ship industry in the design, construction, safety, and operation of cruise ships, and the other will focus on issues facing the shipbuilding industry.

The technical program will include Ship Production Symposium papers and presentations, student papers, and the Technical and Research Sessions. As a majority of the papers and presentations are expected to carry continuing education credit, a PE may earn as many as nine PDHs by attending the sessions. PEs who take advantage of this opportunity and want the credit that they earn to be certified and recorded will be required to submit a one-page form for each paper, accompanied by payment of a service fee of $15 per paper for members ($25 for non-members).
