Subject: SNAME: A message from the President of SNAME
The following emotional but eloquent message was forwarded
to SNAME,
sent to one of our members by his son, and is included
herein as an
example of the sentiments we all must share:
"Today, I am drained but not emptied; wrecked but not
destroyed. The
core of my being has been rattled by a hatred alien in its
form and
intensity. Evil truly exists and it busted into my home this
morning.
Whoever delivered this blow was successful in hitting their
targets,
hurting our hearts and getting our attention. I don't care
what you
call yourself, what you do, or where you live, if you value
good in
your life then live it loud. Tell these bastards through
your daily
living that those of us who stand for peace do not back down
from
anyone, do not place our lives in their control, and that we
have no
borders, and in that we are far stronger and bigger than
their puny
plans.
Today, I was proud to be with my family, friends and
co-workers. I
am energized that we have each other. Much love to you
all. - Dan"
Phil Kimball, the Headquarters staff and I extend our
sympathies and
prayers to the families, friends and associates of the many
people
affected by this tragedy.
We give thanks to the many thousands who
are working tirelessly to rescue any remaining survivors,
and to
begin the process of recovery. They are all true heroes in the
cause of freedom and goodness amongst humanity. It is a time for
us to mourn and to strengthen our resolve to prevail over
the
forces of evil, which exist within our world populace.
I ask that you join me in prayer to God to give us the
strength to
carry out this mission.
Joseph J. Cuneo, President of SNAME
