Committee Members
The members of the Membership Committee in each local Section are appointed by the Chairman. The size of the Committee is determined by the Chairman. The members assume their duties for a one-year term on September 1 to coincide with the terms of the Section officers. The members should represent a good cross-section of the marine industry in the area served by the Section. It is very important that all major employers be represented. Committee members may be assigned specific areas of responsibility, e.g., recruitment, retention or student members.
